1. Roomba Combo j9+

The Roomba Combo J9+ is a 2-in-1 robot mop and vacuum cleaner that is among the most sophisticated on the market. It features an elegant self-emptying Clean Base that can hold up to two full mopping cycles. It is even designed to look like a small table. It is the only robot we have tested with an onboard reservoir that automatically washes and refills the cleaning pads after every mopping and vacuum cycle.

The mopping arm is set in a discreet manner at the top of the unit. It lowers when it senses hard surfaces, and then starts to scrub. It moves slowly across surfaces to avoid spreading mud or wet spills across carpeted areas. And it does a great job of staying out of the way of cords, furniture and other obstacles.

It's smarter than the majority of robot vacs, too, thanks to the iRobot Home app, which lets you customize your cleaner's settings and prioritize rooms based on dirtiness, set schedules and cleaning times and more. The app provides you with detailed maps of your home with seasonal suggestions, custom cleaning routines as well as intuitive smart-home integrations.

This robot vac/mop is based on iRobot's Imprint Smart Mapping Technology to recognize objects such as sofas, tables, and counters. And it can be controlled by Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri to ensure that your home is clean and tidy.

The Roomba J9+ is different from other vacuum and mopping robotics, creates an outline of your home 7 times faster than previous models. It also categorizes each area by floor type, to ensure that it will remember where you want it to mop or vacuum. It also comes with a brand new Turbo Mode that increases suction power for those tough spots. With iRobot's Dirt Detective, it can analyze your cleaning habits to adjust the cleaning priorities and settings for the most soiled areas of your home.

In terms of navigation, the M12 utilizes LiDAR, IR, and 3D structured light to avoid obstacles. The sensors are capable of picking up larger objects like HVAC vents and furniture. However, they may struggle with smaller objects, like cables and small rags, which can cause the robot to miss certain spots.

The M12 can also detect and navigate up stairs thanks to its built-in inclinometer. It can also return automatically to its OMNI Station to dry and wash mop brushes and to refill its water tank. If the batteries are depleted and the OMNI Station is empty, the OMNI Station can even clean itself and empty the trash bin when the batteries are depleted.

This feature reduces the cost of maintenance while keeping its pads clean. A dock sensor is able to detect when a mop's pad becomes dirty and initiates the wash cycle.

The S8 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessors, has an intelligent system which can detect things that are commonplace, like shoes and pet waste by using the combination of a camera and LIDAR. It performed well in our obstacle avoidance test with only one glitch (it became stuck while unwinding a ball of wool that was wrapped around its brush arm).

The Eufy S1 Pro is an extremely powerful vacuum and mop combo that has been designed to be user-friendly. Its gunmetal-colored base station is self-emptying and it fills its own tank with clean water, automatically emptying the dust bin into a smaller one it washes and dry its own mop pad during cleaning sessions.
